Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I make an appointment?
Please visit the Contact Tab of my website for contact details to book an appointment. You do not need a doctor’s referral to make an appointment.
  • What is the fee for each session?
The fee for Registered Psychologists is consistent with the British Columbia Psychological Association’s recommended rate. The current rate is $225-$235 for each 50-minute session for a Registered Psychologist (the rate varies as clinicians set their own rate). Please contact me for the rate for non-registered clinicians. Some extended health benefit plans cover some of the costs. Please contact your extended health company to inquire about your plan. We will provide you with a receipt after each session to submit to your extended health company. Psychological services are not covered under the Medical Services Plan (MSP).
  • What if I miss an appointment?
We are happy to reschedule your appointment if you are unable to attend. In order to provide appointments to other clients, 48-hour notice is required when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. Missed appointments without 48-hour notice will be charged at the regular rate.
  • Is there a long wait list?
Please contact me for current wait times. We always try our best to see clients as soon as possible.
  • How long does treatment last?
The length of treatment varies from client to client based on several factors including severity of symptoms, number of presenting concerns, frequency of treatment, and commitment to therapy. We believe in short-term therapy which consists of teaching clients skills to use on their own to live a healthier and happier life. Many clients see significant improvements within 8-12 sessions; however, some clients only require a handful of sessions and others require more long-term therapy.
  • Is group therapy available?
Group therapy is not available at this time.
